• benevolence

Our food pantry serves the needy in the Troy area, providing food to families to help them get back on their feet. Individuals can schedule an appointment to receive this assistance by contacting the church office.

Collegedale hosts two giveaways throughout the year to assist families in the Troy community. In August, a school supply giveaway is offered to provide students with necessary supplies to start the school year. In the spring, families can receive free cleaning supplies for their homes.

As we strive to be ambassadors for Christ, we are blessed with opportunities to carry His name throughout the world, serving as the hands and feet of Jesus. Each year, in collaboration with the CSC, Collegedale provides short-term mission opportunities.

In recent years we have served people and supported churches in the following locations throughout the world:

Malawi, Africa - working with the orphanage, Mtendere Village, to do VBS Bible lessons, tutoring and lead nightly devotionals with the children. Teams also assist with building projects and maintenance at Mtendere and Blessings Hospital.

Cuba - regularly supporting a local minister, as well as sending an evangelistic mission team periodically.

Campamento, Honduras - working with Christian Relief Fund to provide a VBS for

kids, completing work projects at their facility and in the surrounding villages.

Portland, Oregon - teams worked with the congregation of Southwest Church of Christ to reach out to the local community.

Disaster relief support and service trips.

Christian Relief Fund - raising funds to drill wells in the most drought-stricken areas providing people access to life-saving water. When a well is dug, schools are started, churches are planted, gardens can grow; communities form all in the name of Jesus. Individuals and groups also sponsor children through CRF programs worldwide, giving them access to education and daily necessities.

Jesus emphasized how important children are during His ministry. Following this example, we realize how important it is for us to focus on growing our children “in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” - Luke 3:52

We strive to do this by offering exciting and meaningful ways to learn about God.
